Women’s Society of Christian Service (WSCS)

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Women’s Society of Christian Service (WSCS) is an integral part of our church. As one of the main organizations of our church, its members make their presence and contribute all the activities of our church.

Our activities :
We praise the Lord for the active involvement and participation of the present WSCS members in various endeavors of WSCS.

Monday prayer
5 to 8 members come regularly in the church from 4.30 to 6.00pm. Some pray in their house, but the main focus is on all our church families.
Cottage Prayer meetings
We assemble together every second Saturday  in a month in the house of one of our members to have monthly devotional meetings.  We start the meeting with songs of praise and worship and explore the Word of God for a better understanding of the scriptures. All the prayer points are shared, and prayers are offered.
Senior citizens meet
We have conducted senior citizens’ meetings and plan to have such gatherings twice a year.
Mission field visit
Once a year, a Mission Field visit is organized to encourage and support a missionary organization.
Outreach
We started a Sunday school in the Sionkoliwada slum area. Children from that area are taught for cleanliness, singing, and storytelling.
Retreat
We also organize an annual picnic cum retreat for a time of fellowship and recreation, wherein we conduct games and quizzes and recharge our batteries. We also actively take part in the annual joint WSCS retreat of Tamil churches.
We take part in the district and Reginal wscs meetings.
Special Sundays
WSCS Sunday is held every year wherein the members participate enthusiastically. We present skits, songs, power point presentation of the activities during the year and a wonderful message by the guest speaker. Knowing the important role mothers play in our life.
we celebrate Mother’s day in our church.
We provide a special number in the Carol service in our church.
Every second Sunday of the month, we lead the praise and worship. The leading part is given to all the members.
World day of prayer is observed in the month of March.
